Naila Sharifova, CPA, MST stumbled upon an accounting class a bit by accident. She never expected it to become love from first sight. Debit, credits, T accounts was a language that she could master with ease. After working both in audit and tax fields, she chose tax when she had realized she enjoyed making real impact in her clients’ finances by minimizing their taxes and keeping them on the right side of the law.

Naila has more than 17 years of experience in public accounting starting initially with a small accounting firm where she had an opportunity to provide a wide array of services to her clients ranging from accounting consulting to preparation of complex returns and representing clients during their tax audits, and then working for 11 years at a big local CPA firm with a focus on tax advisory, consulting and compliance services for individual clients and businesses primarily in service, technology and manufacturing industries.  

In addition to domestic tax planning and compliance, Naila enjoys assisting U.S. and foreign business and individual clients with inbound and outbound operations to meet their US tax reporting obligations by focusing on reducing their overall US tax burden.

Her areas of expertise include corporate and individual tax law with a focus on domestic and international tax matters. 

Naila is CPA licensed and is a member of AICPA professional organization. She has a Master’s Degree in Taxation from San Jose State University. She also obtained IBFD Advanced Professional Certificate in International Corporate Taxation.  

When not working, Naila enjoys spending time with her husband and their two kids, nature outings, reading and volunteering.
